As Materials Handler, you will be an integral part in supporting our R&D and Satellite manufacturing teams at Xona. You will play a key role in supporting shipping and receiving, logistics, and inventory for prototyping and low-rate production. Your work will have significant impact on our goal of bringing cutting edge navigation technologies to space.
Responsibilities
Prepare domestic and international shipments, manage freight forwarders and customs agents, and ensure compliance with documentation including commercial invoices and other export paperwork.
Pack and crate outgoing shipments.
Perform incoming receiving processes on all incoming packages, including counting goods, scanning packing lists for three-way match, and managing partial receipts.
Inspect incoming hardware, components, and raw materials for damage, quantity discrepancies, and proper documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory levels of flight hardware, perform quarterly cycle counts, and manage configuration changes through dispositions.
Organize inventory locations according to 5S principles.
Kit and issue inventory to manufacturing and integration teams.
Move hardware, assemblies, and kits between cleanrooms, warehouse, and production areas. When needed, operate motorized lift equipment, pallet jacks, cranes, and lifting fixtures.
Adhere to industry safety and quality standards, and contribute to a safe, organized, and collaborative work environment.
Desired Qualifications
2–4 years of materials handling, warehouse operations, or inventory experience in Aviation, Space, or Defense industries or similar adjacent industrial sector.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Familiarity with Quality Management (QMS) Systems, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
Comfortable working in prototype labs, cleanrooms, and structured precision assembly facilities. Prior work in cleanroom, ESD-controlled, or high-sensitivity hardware environment is preferred.
Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counts, material issuance, and receiving processes.
Understanding of domestic and international shipping requirements and ability to prepare shipping documentation. Familiarity with HTS codes, ECCN basics, Incoterms, and controlled-item handling is preferred.
Proficiency with kitting, BOMs, and work order structures.
Experience handling serialized, lot-controlled, or expiration-controlled materials.
Proficiency with barcode scanners, scales, calipers, and basic measurement tools.
Able to manage long durations of standing, grasping, sitting, pulling, and physical bending movements to support various assembly and test processes. Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs unassisted.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation and transactions.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Production.
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving program needs and priorities.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and support systems and software scale-up.
