Description
Help shape the future of aerospace manufacturing at Stoke Space. We're seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to evolve our flagship software platform, Boltline, which enables teams to build and validate advanced hardware with complete traceability.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test on the Boltline by Stoke Space Team, you will be responsible for raising the quality bar for our software releases. Our goal is to go fast with high quality. We will enable this through rigor in our testing and delivery process. You’ll work with our product, development and test teams to deliver automated system level tests for existing and new features and improving our release processes.

You'll help define the future of Boltline both for Stoke Space's internal teams and our growing customer base, ensuring our platform evolves to meet the complex needs of modern aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Develop test code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion to reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency
- Design, implement and/or enhance test frameworks and tools
- Collaborate with other engineers to define test strategy, identify test matrix, and prioritize test automation needs to ensure thorough coverage
- Effectively identify, report and track defects and work closely with the developers to resolve issues promptly
- Integrate tests into CI\CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback loop and quality assurance at all stages of the development process
- Iterate and improve on test processes to insure efficiency and repeatability
- Learning and growing with new technologies and emerging trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field / experience
- Experience with designing and implementing robust automated tests and test frameworks
- Experience in developing test cases using TypeScript, Java, C# or similar
- Experience in UI automation framework (e.g. Selenium, puppeteer, playwright etc.)
- Deep understanding of various kinds of testing (black-box, white-box, integration, API, performance etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving ability with attention to detail, and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of prior SDET experience

Compensation
Target Levels:
- Level 3 Range: $92,500 - $138,800
- Level 4 Range: $115,700 - $173,400

Your actual level and base salary will be decided based on your specific experience and skill level.
