Simulation Engineer
Software Engineering
New York Metropolitan Area, USA
At Raise Robotics, we’re building robots that work where people shouldn’t. Our team has successfully deployed machines into real construction sites and factories. We’re now building our next generation platform to help build some of the largest structures in the world - think buildings, ships, energy generation plants, and more.
We’re looking for team members who enjoy touch technical challenges and want to make an impact. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to customer sites and see our machines working out in the real world.
For this role, we are looking for a Simulation Engineer to own the simulation stack which will support development of all onboard software and evaluation, including rigid body physics, sensors, and fluid dynamics.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience working in robotics simulation with mobile or highly articulated systems.
- Experience working with off the shelf simulators such as Gazebo, Isaac, or Mujoco.
- Experience working with sensor simulation - cameras, LIDARs, force torque sensors, etc.
- Expertise with synthetic data generation.
- Experience with physics and dynamics simulation.
- (Plus) Experience simulating hydraulic systems.
What you’ll do:
- Own the simulation stack and develop a simulation infrastructure for development and evaluation of onboard software.
- Work with motion planning, perception, and systems engineers to determine simulation requirements.
- Set up large scale, data driven simulation pipelines and develop tools for analyzing large scale simulation results.
- Continuously improve simulation realism and usability.
