As the Senior Director of Sponsorship Sales, you'll be a driving force behind our revenue generation through strategic partnerships with leading brands. You'll work directly with the VP of Sponsorships to help set the vision, develop winning strategies, and secure deals that propel PlayVS to the forefront of the amateur esports landscape.
Here's What You'll Get To Do:
*Sponsorship Strategy: Partner with the VP of Sponsorships and C-level executives to help develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship strategy aligned with our PlayVS’ OKRs and vision. Identify new market opportunities and build relationships with key decision-makers at target companies.
*Prospect Identification and Qualification: Proactively research and identify potential corporate sponsors who align with our brand, values, and target audience. Develop a deep understanding of their marketing objectives and tailor partnership proposals accordingly.
*Proposal Development and Negotiation: Craft compelling and data-driven sponsorship proposals that showcase the unique value proposition of partnering with PlayVS. Negotiate win-win agreements that secure optimal revenue and mutual benefit.
*Financial Performance and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sponsorship activity, analyze data to measure campaign effectiveness, and generate insightful reports for internal stakeholders, including the PlayVS Leadership team.
*Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of the curve in the evolving esports landscape and emerging trends in corporate sponsorship. Continuously identify new and innovative ways to leverage our platform for sponsor benefit.
*Cross-functional Alignment: Work cross-functionally with leaders across Scholastic, Customer Experience, Product, Live Operations, and Marketing teams to foster internal alignment and provide a robust experience for sponsors.
Here's What We're Looking For:
*BA/BS degree or equivalent.
*10+ years of experience in B2B sales or sponsorship, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
*Data-driven decision-making skills and experience with analyzing complex data sets.
*Excellent ability to identify, cultivate, and close sponsorship deals.
*Expert ability to manage complex projects with input from cross-functional teams and company leaders.
Bonus points for:
*Passion for esports and a genuine interest in supporting the growth of amateur players.
*Esports and gaming industry experience.
