About this Role
Pareto.AI is seeking an experienced Global People Operations Manager to drive strategic people initiatives and optimize the employee experience across our global organization. In 2025 alone, we have grown from <100 team members to 150+ as well as expanded our workforce across the globe with concentrations in the Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions. In this role, you'll own the systems, processes, and programs that drive an exceptional employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. You'll be instrumental in creating scalable infrastructure, advising leadership on key people decisions, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
This hybrid role combines the best of both worlds 2 days per week collaborating in-person at our San Francisco office with remote work flexibility for the remaining days.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations and Systems
Drive seamless employee onboarding ensuring new team members feel welcomed, informed, and equipped to succeed from day one
Coach and empower managers to bring out the best in their teams and enhance leadership capabilities
Implement and own People Operations tools and systems (HRIS, Gusto, Remote, etc.)
Use data and metrics to inform people decisions, monitor organizational health, and drive transparency
Identify automation opportunities and drive innovative solutions to enhance the overall employee experience
Design, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure legal compliance
Total Rewards
Partner with leadership on compensation decisions and budget planning
Evaluate, recommend, and roll out benefit offerings that meet the needs of a diverse, global workforce
Develop and maintain compensation management frameworks and salary band structures
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive total rewards packages
Global Workforce Management
Lead the People Ops function for our global workforce which spans across the globe and concentrated in the US, LATAM, and APAC.
Maintain HR documentation, processes, and compliance across global jurisdictions
Serve as primary point of contact for immigration matters, providing guidance and support to employees navigating visa and work authorization processes
Support international candidates and employees with documentation, timelines, and onboarding logistics
What you’ll need:
7+ years of People Ops experience, ideally in a startup environment and with a global team.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate to work 2 days a week from our San Francisco office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across all organizational levels
Expertise in HR policies and procedures (e.g. employee handbooks, total rewards/benefits, employee lifecycle)
Strong knowledge of Federal and California employment law with familiarity in global employment law and compliance
Extensive experience managing the employee lifecycle including onboarding, compliance training, performance management, and offboarding
Direct ownership of People Ops tools and systems (e.g. HRIS, payment systems, EORs)
Proven project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional projects from conception to completion
Experience with US immigration processes and global mobility programs
Nice to have:
Experience in a high growth startup
Experience building and executing team roadmaps
Familiarity with global labor laws, specifically in Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions
Advanced proficiency in data analysis and HR metrics
Compensation Range: $140K - $190K
