About us

At Pareto.AI, we’re on a mission to enable top talent around the world to participate in the development of cutting-edge AI models.

In coming years, AI models will transform how we work and create thousands of new AI training jobs for skilled talent around the world. We’ve joined forces with top AI and crowd researchers at Anthropic, Character.AI, Imbue, Stanford, and University of Pennsylvania to build a fair and ethical platform for AI developers to collaborate with domain experts to train bespoke AI models.

We’re hiring a Community Operations Associate to help scale and support the operational backbone of our global pool of AI Trainers — professionals, PhDs, and domain experts who take on side gigs to help train safer, more capable AI. You’ll work closely with the Community Learning & Development Manager and assist the Community Specialist by ensuring that onboarding, engagement, and retention workflows run smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure but stays steady in fast-changing environments. You’ll take pride in keeping processes organized, up to date, and running smoothly — making sure everything behind the scenes works flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track expert onboarding and payment status across external platforms ensuring internal records are accurate, complete, and up to date.

  • Monitor logged hours and task submissions, collaborating with Project Managers to flag discrepancies and identify external experts who may require performance discussions.

  • Support referral operations by maintaining referral records, verifying expert eligibility, and coordinating follow-ups with both referrers and referees.

  • Update expert data across systems to reflect onboarding progress, EOR status, domain expertise, and availability.

  • Identify and flag blockers in the expert journey — such as ghosting, onboarding delays, or payment issues — and escalate them.

  • Coordinate with other teams (Fulfillment, Community, Support, Trust & Safety, etc) to ensure smooth expert activation and alignment across workflows.

  • Assist with operational maintenance, including tagging clean-up, documentation reviews, expert audits, and record syncing across internal tools.

What You’ll Need

  • 1–2 years of experience in operations, admin support, or community coordination

  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail — you enjoy keeping things updated and structured

  • Comfort working with tools like Coda, Slack, Discord, and Google Workspace (or similar platforms)

  • Ability to stay focused and productive in async, remote-first environments

  • Clear written communication skills and responsiveness across channels (email, Slack, Discord)

  • Proactive mindset — you’re someone who proactively flags issues, asks questions, and follows through

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with EOR platforms

  • Experience working with referral programs or tracking people across multiple systems

  • Prior involvement in community operations, recruiting, or talent lifecycle management

  • Experience working with technical audiences (developers, researchers, PhDs, etc.)

  • Multilingual or experience in global, cross-cultural environments

Time Expectation:

The preferred working hours for this role are between 6:30 AM and 3:30 PM PST, including a 1-hour break. This schedule ensures effective overlap with both the U.S.-based team and global collaborators across multiple time zones.

While some flexibility can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis (early time-in / overtime due to urgent deliverables, emergency cases, etc), we recommend maintaining regular availability within 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM PST to maximize alignment and responsiveness during key hours.
