We are looking for a Global Head of Brokerage to assist in recruiting and building the brokerage side of OFE
Responsibilities:
Although you have the ability to write at least $500,000 of business annually and have close charterers and owners as clients, OFE doesn't believe that you should have responsibilities with both brokering as well as managing a business and its people. We prefer that you focus on growing a team and making each broker into a super broker. We prefer that you focus on building hubs and looking for ways to expand the business lines. You have the ability to bring your team or build a team of experienced dry bulk ship brokers swiftly.
Requirements:
- 15+ years as a ship broker covering handy up to capesize markets
- 5+ years as a head of desk or manager at a prestigious ship brokerage
- Expat experience in multiple countries with a prestigious ship brokerage
- Experience leading a group of at 10+ ship brokers in the supramax, panamax, or capesize markets.
- Experience opening and/or managing an office and in charge of the brokerage's profit and loss.
- Experience with the procurement of email systems or technology for your brokers.
