About Luo
Luo is one of the fastest-growing cross-border payments companies in Africa. We help African businesses pay their international suppliers faster, more transparently, and more competitively than traditional solutions.
After becoming a leading player in West and Central Africa in record time, we are now accelerating hiring to support our expansion across the continent.
Role Overview
As our Founding TA Manager, you will be the first dedicated hire for talent at Luo. That means you won't just recruit, you'll build the entire recruitment function from the ground up.
You'll own hiring end to end, but also design the processes, pick the tools, and shape how Luo is perceived as an employer. This is a role for someone who wants to build something, not just fill seats.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to signed offer, across a variety of profiles: sales, operations, tech, finance and more.
- Source candidates across multiple channels (LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, local networks).
- Screen and assess candidates on skills, fit, and culture.
- Coordinate interview processes with managers, sometimes across multiple countries and time zones.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline, especially for recurring profiles (sales, operations).
- Design and implement Luo's recruitment process: structure interviews, define scorecards, set up workflows.
- Select and deploy the right recruitment tools (ATS, sourcing tools, scheduling, reporting).
- Develop Luo's employer brand: job posts, careers content, LinkedIn presence, and how we tell our story to candidates.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide visibility to leadership on hiring progress.
- Stay connected to local talent markets and advise the team on compensation benchmarks and hiring trends.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in recruitment, either in-house or agency-side, ideally in a fast-growing company where you had to build things yourself.
- Comfortable sourcing and hiring across diverse profiles and seniority levels.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple roles and timelines in parallel without dropping the ball.
- A builder mindset: you're excited by setting up processes and tools, not just using them.
- Good taste for employer branding and communication, you know what makes a company attractive to top talent.
- Exposure to fintech, tech, or fast-growing startups.
