The Opportunity

Hearth is seeking a strategic and data-driven Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own and scale marketing communications across the entire customer journey. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this high-impact role is responsible for accelerating lead generation, customer activation, and retention within our contractor base.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead lifecycle strategy across key stages of the customer journey (lead nurture, onboarding, activation, retention, expansion), delivering measurable impact on customer engagement, product adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and optimize lead nurture programs using personalized content, segmentation, and lead scoring to convert marketing leads into high-intent opportunities.
  • Design and execute integrated, multi-channel campaigns across Email, SMS, in-app messaging, and chat that drive behavior change and business results.
  • Own activation and retention metrics by identifying key levers within the product and customer experience that can be influenced through marketing.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and CS to drive alignment on priorities, campaign execution, and shared goals.
  • Define and manage the customer communications calendar, ensuring consistent, personalized, and high-value messaging across touchpoints and teams.
  • Launch educational and product-led marketing initiatives that help contractors unlock the full value of Hearth’s tools and services.
  • Drive expansion within the customer base, creating targeted upsell and cross-sell campaigns grounded in behavioral and product usage data.
  • Develop lifecycle segmentation and personalization strategies, leveraging data to ensure timely, relevant communications.
  • Own lifecycle reporting and attribution in partnership with Analytics and Finance, continuously refining how we measure customer marketing impact.
  • Identify and operationalize retention and win-back programs to support proactive risk mitigation and improve customer lifetime value.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in lifecycle, customer, or email marketing, ideally at high-growth B2B or SMB-focused SaaS companies.
  • Demonstrated quantifiable success across lead nurture, activation, and retention
  • Expertise in marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Braze, Marketo) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) with hands-on experience building, testing, and optimizing campaigns.
  • Strong writing and messaging skills — you can develop compelling copy and coach others to do the same.
  • Proven track record of influencing GTM, CS, or product strategies through lifecycle insights and programs.
  • Experience working with contractors, builders or the construction industry is preferred
