The Opportunity
<50% of Hearth customers currently process every payment through our platform. Capturing that remaining share is the single biggest lever to hit our $2B Gross Payment Volume (GPV) north-star. As Embedded Payments Lead on the Customer Success team, you’ll own the commercial strategy, playbook design, and day-to-day execution that unlocks GPV growth across our customer base.
What You’ll Do:
- Segment & Activate. Slice the contractor base by GPV potential, craft tailored go-to-market motions, and own the funnel from first swipe to full-wallet processing.
- Run Payments Ops. Serve as the day-to-day point of contact with our embedded-payments partner—settlements, reconciliations, risk holds, and all the “money-flow plumbing.”
- Lead the Team. Coach and inspire a lean team of Payment Specialists who drive activations, audits, and escalations.
- Champion the Customer. Funnel Voice-of-Customer insights to Product & Risk so product and pricing evolve with contractor needs.
- Instrument & Analyze. Work with Data teams to build dashboards for activation, GPV, margin, and cost-to-serve; run weekly cohort and funnel reviews to surface unlocks.
- Build & Scale Playbooks. Create repeatable talk tracks, ROI calculators, and cadence plans; enable every CSM to grow payments like a pro.
- Handle Tier-2 Support. Triage and resolve complex payments issues—chargebacks, settlement delays, risk reviews—while keeping NPS high.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years in payments-heavy Customer Success, Account Management motion
- Proven record of double-digit GPV growth via scaled playbook creation.
- Fluent in payment economics—interchange, funding timing, risk holds—and able to translate them into contractor-friendly value props.
- Strong communicator who can help time-strapped contractors understand the value of payments processing through Hearth.
- Bonus: Experience in home-services or construction tech and/or vertical SaaS
