The VP of Brand will own the overall brand and creative strategy and is responsible for the creative expression of the Harper Wilde brand across all consumer touchpoints. The VP of Brand is a creative leader and strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize big ideas and see them through to the finish line, delivering against a tactical plan. You operate with a sense of urgency and are able to juggle multiple competing priorities at once while managing against tight deadlines. You have the ability to manage topline priorities, while individually contributing to daily projects needed. You have a sense of humor & a point of view for how to help build Harper Wilde into the next market leader in intimates.
Responsibilities and required qualifications include:

SETTING BRAND VISION AND STRATEGY

  • Bring visionary thinking into an antiquated category
  • Evaluate company brand strategy & positioning and constantly be thinking about how to further strengthen brand position and awareness in the industry
  • Outline & deliver overarching brand and creative strategy as well as quarterly campaign planning & budgeting; work with growth team to plan campaigns to achieve aggressive growth and revenue targets, while overseeing KPIs such as owned channel audience size & engagement, unpaid traffic & contributing to improvements in key marketing metrics and NPS

EXECUTING ON BRAND AND CREATIVE PROGRAMS

  • Develop and execute on campaigns tied to key metrics that increase brand awareness and relevance
  • Create conversations for the Harper Wilde community
  • Oversee the ideation and execution of full 360 creative development and creative strategy across all campaigns
  • Oversee brand partnerships to create new opportunities for audience development, brand building, and revenue growth
  • Oversee Social Media and Community, setting KPIs for growth and engagement
  • Own PR strategy and partner closely with PR agency to provide intentional PR opportunities to tell the brand story and elevate the brand
  • Utilize available data, metrics, insights to develop campaigns and allocate resources across campaigns based on impact
  • Interface with key internal partners and stakeholders to articulate creative vision and achieve strategic alignment on key brand and cross-functional initiatives including physical product branding, packaging, brand identity
  • Own stakeholder alignment around campaigns, project briefing, planning, cross functional communication, and execution
  • Oversee content strategy across all platforms
  • Oversee relationship with social mission partners and relevant storytelling

BUILDING AN IN-HOUSE CREATIVE TEAM AND MANAGING EXTERNAL PARTNERS

  • Build and coach a Creative & Brand organization including designers, copywriters, brand marketers, freelancers, as well as external partners
  • Help develop, evolve, and extend brand aesthetics and maintain visual identity on all platforms
  • Set strategy on social platforms and constantly evaluate to ensure relevancy, engagement, and growth, and work with creative teams to produce content that works for each channel
  • Supervise creative process from concept through execution, focusing on quality with speed and agility
  • Find and develop working relationships with new creative and production vendors, as well as strengthening partnerships with current vendors, to conceive/execute creative

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of experience in consumer advertising, B2C marketing, and/or branding and strategic marketing
  • 7+ years experience managing creative teams including Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters. Should feel comfortable contributing ideas and critiques across all.
  • A proven track record of success leading teams, developing brands, and delivering campaigns that grow brands
  • A relentlessly curious mindset
  • Uncanny ability to understand consumers and what drives consumer behavior and conversation
  • Ability to push creative boundaries and sell innovative ideas supported by company goals and available data
  • Able to prioritize and manage against multiple competing initiatives in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment while delivering outstanding results
  • Able to flex between executive-level strategic thinking and hands-on doing at moments notice

  • Base salary for this role will be $200k-240k and will be dependent on candidate experience and location.
