The role of the Senior Brand Communications Manager is to establish the overarching messaging and communications strategy for the brand and the business to drive positive conversation about G2 Esports through media coverage, industry engagement, and partner content amplification. This position will lead the internal and external communication strategy and execution for business initiatives through earned and owned media channels. The individual will collaborate across the different teams to ensure that all efforts are communicated effectively and widely across the relevant channels.If you want to be part of an amazing journey you should definitely read on!

G2 Esports is looking for a Senior Brand Communications Manager to join our team. This is a full time opportunity based in Berlin who will directly report to our Head of Brand in the Marketing Department.


Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of quality media coverage, targeted strategically and strongly supporting business and projects key messages
  • Close collaboration with colleagues across different departments to activate campaigns across channels from owned to earned media
  • Use of talents and players to credibly talk about G2 Esports within the esports scene in general
  • Innovative ideas and tactics to generate talkability and conversations, creating awareness on G2’s main initiatives
  • Setting, tracking and regular reporting of KPIs, keeping us on the path to success while tapping into relevant insights and stories to push us further
  • Management of external vendors including delivery, quality control, procurement and output is elevated and always addressing the objectives planned.
  • Build and shape the organization, key talent and stakeholders positioning for media partners
  • Craft and lead communications and PR related activities and initiatives for the companies and key stakeholders

Requirements:

Must have:

  • A communication professional with a considerable media network in our focus markets
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Communications, PR in Marketing or Media led companies
  • Track record in developing programs with opinion leaders/social influencers
  • A proven track record in leading projects and securing brand reach & engagement via earned media amplification
  • Ability to think strategically on how to position different initiatives to guarantee message pull-through to our target audience via media
  • Is a story seeker that identifies those stories with a true media potential
  • Great presentation skills and interpersonal relationships
  • Existing relationships with key media outlets and the ability to build media relationships based on the project
  • Excellent crisis management and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience in media training for players and influencers as well as senior executives
  • Works with passion and has high affinity with the world of Esports

Nice to have:

  • Experience managing press events, from small groups to large-scale events
  • Knows how to handle a press conference, whether it's run by a tournament organizer or by G2 Esports
