Role Overview

We’re hiring our first Strategic Communications Lead to own how Fun is understood by the world.

This is not traditional marketing. This is about shaping narrative, positioning, and perception at every level, from product launches and partnerships to how we show up in the broader financial and digital asset ecosystem.

You will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer, operating at the intersection of product, partnerships, and narrative to define how Fun is positioned externally.

Your core strength is turning complex systems into clear, compelling narratives, and knowing what not to say as much as what to say.

Responsibilities:


  • Own Fun’s external narrative across product launches, partnerships, and company milestones
  • Develop clear positioning and messaging frameworks across products and audiences
  • Write high-impact materials including press releases, announcements, launch content, and founder comms
  • Partner closely with leadership, product, and BD to ensure consistent, high-quality communication across all surfaces
  • Shape how Fun shows up across channels (owned, earned, and social) with a focus on signal over noise
  • Identify and execute high-leverage storytelling opportunities (press, partnerships, moments)
  • Maintain a high bar for quality, clarity, and consistency across everything we publish



Requirements:


  • 3+ years in strategic communications, content, product marketing, or similar roles
  • Exceptional writer with strong instincts for narrative, positioning, and tone
  • Ability to simplify complex technical systems into clear, compelling stories
  • Strong judgment on messaging, audience, and timing
  • Self-starter who can operate with high ownership and minimal structure
  • Strong understanding of the digital asset ecosystem and ability to communicate within it authentically



Nice to Have:


  • Experience at a high-growth startup or infrastructure company
  • Background in fintech, payments, or financial systems
  • Experience with product launches, PR, or founder-led communications
  • Active presence in crypto-native communities
  • Ability to operate across formats (long-form, social, internal comms, etc.)

Location and Work Environment This role is primarily in-person at our Midtown, NYC headquarters. We work together Monday through Thursday for fast, iterative collaboration and optional WFH Fridays to reset and recharge.
