About Flyby Robotics:
Do you want to build products straight out of science fiction? Flyby Robotics is building software to power drone delivery fleets for major cities. Our goal is to unleash a future where anything you can dream of will arrive instantly.
Flyby Robotics was founded by a team of Yale graduates who built the United States’ first working urban drone delivery service. Our current team is composed of engineers previously from JPL, Google X Labs, and Anduril. We’re backed by category-defining investors such as Ryan Hoover (Product Hunt Founder), Naval Ravikant (Angelist Founder), Lightspeed Ventures Scout, and MaC Ventures.
The Role:
Delivery drones are powerful machines. Our delivery accuracy is measured in centimeters and delivery time is measured in seconds. We are looking for engineers who are excited about pushing the boundaries of what drones can accomplish.
As a Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern at Flyby, you will work on a wide range of mission-critical projects including:
1). Design and build front-end web applications in React that our merchant partners will use daily.
2). Work with our engineers to integrate low-latency video streaming into our drone control dashboard.
3). Maintain and scale our GraphQl/NodeJS backend.
Core Requirements:
- A love for robots and drones. You’re excited about automation and full-stack development.
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate program.
- Able to work full time, either onsite or remote, for 12-15 consecutive weeks beginning September 2022.
- Enjoy working with and you are highly proficient with React/NextJS, Node, and GraphQL.
- At least 1 previous internship in software engineering or working on a multi-month side project with a team.
- Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
