Staff / Senior Product Manager - Ops Tech

The Opportunity:
We are on the hunt for a seasoned Staff / Senior Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of our operational technology platform, which is the backbone of Flexport’s freight forwarding business. This role is pivotal in ensuring our platform is scalable, efficient, and aligns with our mission to reimagine global trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the operational technology platform, ensuring alignment with Flexport’s business goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, and business leaders, to deliver innovative solutions that enhance our platform's capabilities.
• Drive the continuous improvement of product features, informed by data analytics, user feedback, and industry trends.
• Develop detailed product specifications, manage product backlogs, and prioritize projects that will deliver the most value to our clients and partners.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency within the platform to improve the overall freight forwarding process.
• Partner with global stakeholders to understand diverse market needs and tailor solutions that cater to regional requirements.
• Mentor and lead junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Job Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Manager, experience with enterprise software and/or supply chain a plus.
• Proven experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and international teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• A track record of creating scalable, closed-loop workflows in complex, multi-input environments
• Technical competence; might not be an expert, but can talk shop with the best of them
• Experience collaborating with and inspiring engineering teams with a focus on accelerating development velocity
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate prioritization decisions clearly.
