Cue Health is seeking to hire a full-time Machine Operator. This role sets up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic device manufacturing equipment. Tasks include loading material for processing, settings adjustments, performing minor repairs, and monitoring quality of off-loaded product.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety guidelines/regulations

  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced FDA regulated environment following cGMP

  • Set-up and operation of simple to complex automation equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Perform minor repairs and basic troubleshooting. Communicate equipment issues to leadership and maintenance technicians

  • Perform in-line QC inspections and monitor assembly output of equipment

  • Track equipment performance, collect data, and record on GEMBA boards

  • Ability to accurately fill-out batch documentation of production runs following GDP

  • Maintains line stocked with parts to prevent downtime, and performs inventory counts as needed

  • Immediately addresses and escalates product quality issues, errors, and discrepancies to area leadership

  • Maintain a clean and neat work area following 6S guidelines

  • Train and mentor new employees on automation and SOPs

  • Assistance with development/construction/debug of new equipment

  • Work closely with engineers to support new equipment installation and validation

  • Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours to help cover gaps in production and other shifts

  • Other tasks as necessary to meet the needs/goals of the organization

Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Technical background either through schooling or work experience in manufacturing, robotics, or related field

  • 2+ years of relative work, preferable in a high-tech industry

  • Self-starter with the ability to make list and accomplish tasks without supervision

  • Must work well with others across many disciplines (Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Bioengineers, administration, etc.)

  • Ability to manage competing demands and accept constructive feedback

  • Ability to prioritize workload proactively and expeditiously

  • Highly motivated

Environment and Physical Activities/Requirements:

  • You will work in an indoor manufacturing environment, which may occasionally be noisy, subject to climate and humidity requirements, and hazardous substances. This position requires the following physical activities and/or requirements:

    • Remaining in a stationary or sedentary position, often standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

    • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, including possibly tight or confined spaces

    • Reaching, crouching, or stooping

    • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

    • Adjusting, moving, carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds

    • Operating machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, and/or heavy equipment

    • Ascending or descending ramps, ladders and/or stairs

    • Communicating with others to exchange information

    • Visual acuity, including peripheral vision

The estimated base compensation range for this role is shown below. This range is based upon current market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay will be determined in accordance with a candidate's location, skills, expertise, background, experience, and other relevant factors.
