You will run the operating side of the business alongside the founders, and build the internal systems that scale with the research and teams. This is not an assistant role. You will have real authority, real budget, and a direct line to the founders on everything you own.
Your work might include:
- Act as interim head of partnerships until we hire into that seat, which means running the pipeline, showing up in partner meetings, and owning follow-through
- Research and own key business initiatives including pricing and market analyses
- Run contractor payments, payroll, and the internal operating rhythm
- Structure how work is split and handed off, so the founders spend more time on what only they can do
- Take responsibility for the company's public-facing voice across social media and investor communications
- Prepare investor updates, board materials, and the working documents that keep the company legible to the outside world
- Hold ambiguous cross-functional projects that do not fit under any other seat
- Run the hiring process for future technical and non-technical roles, from sourcing through offer
- Real business experience in an operational role at a technical company; fresh-out-of-school candidates are not a fit
- Familiarity with data centers, semiconductors, OEM/ODM, or adjacent infrastructure markets, enough to hold a partner-facing conversation without getting lost
- High agency, the kind that shows up when something needs to be figured out and nobody has told you it is your job
- Sharp writing, including the ability to draft investor updates and turn a rough partnership conversation into a clean two-page proposal
- Keen to leverage AI to automate functions, scale workflows, and support the broader team.. without being 100% reliant upon it
- Good judgment about what to escalate and what to handle
- Comfort operating across strategy and execution, with the ability to run an investor update in the morning and a payroll issue in the afternoon
- Discretion: this role touches equity, comp, hiring decisions, board conversations, and partner negotiations
- Former Chief of Staff at a technical startup, ideally hardware or infrastructure adjacent
- Management consulting or investment banking with a specialty in semiconductors, data centers, or infrastructure work
- Private equity with an semiconductor, telecom, or infrastructure focus
- Partnerships at a chip company or data center operator
- Procurement experience across the data center stack
- Prior experience running the operational side of an early-stage company through a fundraise or major hiring push
Our partners run systems where downtime carries physical consequences, and the company has grown to the point where operating discipline is the constraint on how fast we can move. This role removes that constraint.
