Carta Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Product Manager with deep clinical expertise, a passion for delivering impactful healthcare technology, and strong cross-functional leadership skills. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with clinical registries and abstraction workflows, combined with product management acumen to guide innovative solutions that improve data capture, usability, and patient outcomes.
As a Clinical Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and delivery of a portfolio of clinical registry products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, QA, research, and customer-facing roles—to translate complex clinical and data requirements into intuitive, scalable product enhancements. You will also serve as the voice of our clinical users and be the clinical subject matter expert on the team, ensuring that our registry products deliver exceptional value and usability to abstractors and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product lifecycle for multiple registry-focused solutions, from concept to launch and iterative improvement
- Interpret clinical data and abstraction requirements to define precise, usable registry logic and workflows
- Scope registry enhancements by synthesizing technical, clinical, and business requirements into user stories and roadmap features
- Represent the user voice by observing abstraction workflows, collecting feedback, and identifying meaningful usability improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, clinical informatics, sales, and marketing to deliver features aligned with market and user needs
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple concurrent registry development projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support validation and testing by reviewing registry logic, testing abstraction flows, and working with QA to ensure accuracy
- Stay current on registry trends and updates (e.g., STS, ACC, NCDR) to maintain domain relevance and regulatory compliance
- Communicate proactively across internal and external stakeholders, providing clear documentation and rationales for decisions
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, clinical data abstraction, or registry product development
- Clinical training or work experience in nursing, medicine, or another allied health discipline
- Strong knowledge of clinical registry domains, question sets, and abstraction processes
- Demonstrated experience working with EHRs and abstraction tools; clear understanding of nursing/clinical workflows
- 3+ years of product management or related experience, with hands-on responsibility for requirements definition and backlog grooming
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and delivering clinical products in an agile environment
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and delivery deadlines
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate clinical logic into user-centered product features
