You should either:
Be classically trained in design (strong design university or program), or
Have agency experience producing high-converting ads, creative, and marketing materials tied to measurable outcomes.
You’ll work closely with marketers, copywriters, and product partners to turn ideas into clear, compelling visuals that drive action.
What You’ll Do

Landing pages and web graphics
Sales enablement and presentations
Event, print, and on-site materials
Translate briefs and copy into clear, on-brand visual systems
Produce fast, iterative creative for testing and optimization (multiple formats/sizes/variants)
Adapt core concepts into multiple formats efficiently while maintaining quality
Maintain brand consistency across Ritchie Bros.’ multi-brand ecosystem
Collaborate with Growth, Brand, Product, and Sales teams to deliver work on time
Leverage AI tools to accelerate ideation and automation (e.g., generating creative variants, layout exploration, background removal, image expansion, resizing/versioning), while keeping a high bar for craft, accuracy, and brand consistency
What We’re Looking For
Experience
1–5 years of professional design experience
Agency experience or in-house marketing team experience strongly preferred
-
Portfolio demonstrating:
Strong layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
Marketing/performance creative (ads, campaigns, landing page visuals, emails)
Range across digital and print formats
Design Fundamentals
Excellent eye for composition, spacing, color, and typography
Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, customer-friendly visuals
Strong understanding of brand systems and consistency
Tools
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Comfortable working in Figma
Comfortable using Canva for fast, templated production
Familiarity with asset handoff for web and paid media (exporting, specs, versioning)
Working Style
Fast, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
Comfortable with feedback and iteration; able to defend choices with clear rationale
Comfortable leveraging AI tools for ideation and automation to move faster, scale variations, and reduce repetitive production work—without compromising craft, originality, or brand standards
Nice to Have
Experience designing high-converting ads or growth experiments
Familiarity with basic marketing metrics (CTR, CVR, A/B testing)
Motion or light video skills (After Effects, simple animations)
Experience working within a large or multi-brand organization
Experience building repeatable design workflows/templates (systems thinking)
Why This Role Matters
Design at Ritchie Bros. is not about making things “look cool.” It’s about clarity, trust, and performance at scale. You’ll help shape how millions of buyers and sellers experience one of the world’s largest industrial marketplaces—and you’ll see your work directly impact business outcomes.
