The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of FP&A to join our dynamic team at Arine. This newly-created role will report to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a critical role in providing valuable financial insights, conducting forecast modeling, and driving profitability margin analysis to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. Your expertise in FP&A tools, revenue analysis, KPI/metrics, and financial modeling will be essential in ensuring the financial success of our organization.

What You’ll be Doing:

Financial Planning and Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow projections
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions for accurate forecasting
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Provide insightful recommendations for budgeting, resource allocation, and cost management

FP&A Tools and Reporting

  • Implement Adaptive Planning, Planful or similar financial planning software to create detailed financial reports and dashboards
  • Generate accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and traditional SaaS metrics like ARR, CAC, LTV, retention, etc.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions

Revenue Analysis and Optimization

  • Analyze revenue streams, pricing structures, and product profitability to maximize revenue generation
  • Identify and track key revenue drivers, assess customer acquisition costs, and conduct pricing analysis
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and revenue growth initiatives
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate the impact of various revenue scenarios

Profitability Margin Analysis

  • Evaluate business unit performance and conduct profitability margin analysis
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and increase profitability
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for margin enhancement
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop actionable strategies for cost reduction and margin improvement

Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the healthcare technology or SaaS industry
  • Proven expertise in financial forecasting, implementing and maintaining FP&A tools, and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends and insights
  • Exceptional Excel skills and sophisticated financial modeling capabilities required
  • Proficiency in implementing and using financial planning software, such as Adaptive Planning and Planful, to create reports and conduct analysis
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, revenue analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability margin analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Travel and Other Information:

  • Ability to commute to our office on Market Street in San Francisco at least 2-3 days/week

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $155,000-175,000/year.

Information Security Roles and Responsibilities:

All staff at Arine are expected to be part of its Information Security Management Program and undergo periodic training on Information Security Awareness and HIPAA guidelines. Each user is responsible to maintain a secure working environment and follow all policies and procedures. Upon hire, each person is assigned and must complete trainings before access is granted for their specific role within Arine.
