We’re growing quickly and we need your help

We are looking to hire a product designer who is passionate about taking up Antara's vision and bringing it to life. You are passionate about technology driven engagement and behavior change; might have made significant contributions to product at an early stage digital health startup, or climbed the ranks at a company with a strong product discipline. You have experience in (or willing to dive into) understanding the nuances of Kenyan culture, and synthesize user voices into impeccable requirements, and help ship impactful features.

Responsibilities:

  • Own product (and service) design for a wide-spectrum of users, including: 1) members/patients seeking healthcare, 2) customers from health insurance companies, brokers, and employers' HR managers, and 3) our health navigation and customer success teams relying on the you to improve and scale their effectiveness in delivering great care.
  • Implement user stories with effective designs (lo-fi, mid-fi and hi-fi) through an iterative development process
  • Conduct user testing pre and post implementation
  • Work closely with User Researchers and Product Managers and Engineers
  • Champion usage tracking and analyze patterns to validate new features
  • Help in refining product roadmap by contributing user research, segmentation, and validation
  • Synthesize potential solutions and create minimal product prototypes for members and internal team

Requirement:

  • Obsessed with user needs
    • You have 3+ years of experience in product organizations, in a Service Design, Product Design, or Interaction Design role. You have worked on an agile team rooted in the user-centered design process.
    • You have a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or other UX-equivalent experience.
    • Your design process is deeply rooted in our users and you can effectively advocate for them across the organization, as well as our product management and engineering counterparts.
  • Ability to execute with design excellence
    • You have a strong base in design process and execution, including a specialty in either service design or interaction design. Please share your portfolio with us.
    • You can judge and execute at the appropriate level of fidelity, from paper sketches to refined mocks for production.
    • You know your tools (e.g. Figma), and are ready to adopt new ones and can churn out great design ideas quickly across product suites
    • You have has designed complex interactions at scale and iterated on user feedback for live projects
  • Bias towards action
    • Once you’ve sketched out an idea, you find the fastest path to gain traction and begin executing.
    • You use a diverse set of tools (storyboards, wireframes, visuals, other media etc.) to communicate your ideas effectively.
    • You take initiative and are adept with changing priorities and quick turnarounds to launch products for customers.
    • You are mature, self-managed, initiative taker, proactively communicator, autonomous with a user-first, get-things-done mindset.
    • You thrive on thinking and acting like an owner, and are excited by startup environments.
  • Solve problems, together
    • You have experience and comfort presenting your ideas and setting up effective ways to critique and improve our work.
    • You embrace the intellectual challenge of constantly reacting to and synthesizing new ideas related to better digital healthcare delivery
    • You ask hard questions and challenge assumptions to ensure that we’re solving the right problems.
    • Can build the vision of design team at Antara which can contribute to multiple departments in the company.
